DSI Drills For Screw Extraction are designed specifically for the extraction and removal of a broken or fractured fixation screw from the implant's inner thread. This is not an invasive solution, and there is no surgical intervention. The procedure is fast, reliable, and completely atraumatic for the patient. When the broken screw is removed from the implant it then can be replaced by a new prosthetic solution with a new fixation screw.
There is a reverse drill and a tap for selection available for extracting broken and fractured screws from the implants. In 90% of the cases, any sort of screw can be extracted, even if it is broken.
The drills are designed for Ø1.25mm internal hex screws and can be used with any contra-angle handpiece and are designed with a universal latch-type RA connection.
