This small chip is inserted into the periodontal pocket and used alongside mechanical plaque removal techniques. The use of the DSI Perio Sponge helps to reduce inflammation, decrease pocket depth, and eliminate a large number of bacteria that can cause the disease.

The DSI perio sponge is an innovative biodegradable chip that stands out from other products. Containing 2.5mg of chlorhexidine gluconate, it has been proven to be very effective in reducing pocket depth caused by periodontitis. Its small size allows for quick and easy insertion under the gums in areas with pockets greater than 5mm, which requires less than a minute and saves time during dental appointments.
