SoftPrep is a 17% EDTA cream (paste) in a water-based formulation. It is designed for thorough rinsing and cleaning of the root canal before treatment. SoftPrep removes the smear layer, cleans debris, cleans the dentin, and dissolves calcifications in the root canal. Because it is water-based, it not only cleans the canals but also leaves no residue and is completely rinsed out of the canal.
SoftPrep softens tissues by chelating and removing calcium from the root canal, making mechanical instrumentation and drainage of the canal easier prior to treatment. The material is supplied in a syringe, which significantly simplifies delivery into the canal and accelerates the procedure. This is the best way to clean and prepare the root canal, enlarge the canal, and remove debris and remnants from within the canal.

How to use:
Open the syringe cap and place a disposable tip on the syringe.
Expand root canal with root canal instrument coated with SoftPrep.
Fill SoftPrep in expanded canal and be caution not to overfill.
Remove it after 1-2 minutes and clean enough not to have residue.
