The gel creates a clean, micro-roughened enamel surface that increases surface area and opens enamel pores, allowing orthodontic adhesives to penetrate effectively and form a strong mechanical bond.
Widely used in orthodontic and surgical dentistry, EG9 Gel Etchant is indicated for enamel preparation prior to bracket placement, accessory bonding, and the placement of Cusp-Lok eruption chains. After proper isolation, the etchant is applied for approximately 30 seconds, thoroughly rinsed, and dried until a uniform frosty enamel appearance is achieved, indicating optimal etch quality.
